There are a host of companies in which some animals or birds are integral part of their logo or brand. When the brand relates itself with the characteristics of that animal it might use the image in its logo.

Dove is a classic example, where through logo you want to showcase something soft. Just have a look at various logos where animals or birds are being used.
Similarly Indus Tower a joint Venture of Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea for sharing infratel uses an image of an Horse in its logo.
Similarly PUMA the footwear giant uses the image of a Cougar (mountain lion) in itslogo.
Syndicate Bank. One of the Public Sector Bank of India uses the image of a Dog alongside its logo. The Dog shows trust and always on vigil at the same time friendly.
Unilever the giant distributor has some of images of animals and birds in its logo. If you see carefully you can find fish & Bird.

Similarly Future Group, the Indian Retail Giant also has a bird, rather Golden Bird in its logo.

Another Indian Brand Fevicol uses Elephant in its logo.The Elephant is a symbol of ultimate power.Even two elephants are unable to separate the adhesiveness of Fevicol.

Also Boroline the antiseptic cream also has Elephant in its logo

If you see Zynga, one of the largest and popular developers of online games like Farmville, Citiville etc has a BullDog in its logo.The Dogs name is Zinga which belongs to Mark Pincus, But due to non-availability of the Domain he took Zynga.
In another classic the "Panda" is used in WWF (world wildlife fund) logo
Lacoste the apparel giant has an crocodile which you can see in every Lacoste product.
Similarly Nestle has a birds nest which shows compassion in its logo.

Quikr.com Campaign


Quikr.com
Online classifieds site Quikr.com has released a TVC to communicate an innovation, wherein customers can transact through a missed call. Through ‘Bob Biswas’ enacted by Saswata Chaterjee in the film Kahaani.

The objective of the campaign was to reach out to a large section of consumers through just a miscall.

The ad shows ‘Biswas’ seated in a packed cafe. He look at people around him, before stripping down to his vest and brief and standing on the. He thanks everyone for their attention and say he has an apartment at Amboli and goes on to list its features like western toilet, multiple use. He asks if anyone would be interested in renting it. He finds no takers, but a man replies, handsome ‘Quikr.com ko missed call maar na’.

The voice over says, “Ghar ho ya gaadi, buying selling aur renting ke liye, quikr ko missed call dijiye 1800 3000 1000 par. Aur paaiye buyers aur sellers quikrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Bob Biswas then makes the missed call and is surrounded by  people interested in renting his apartment with money Then Bob shows his the gun from his bag. (the gun used in the movie Kahani Perhaps for selling). This ad will make Quikrr have some differentiation from other online portals.

One-word Tagline

Can One word be a tagline of a brand ???
Some says--- One word can obviously be a tagline ! (Because it is easy to remember)

While other says---One word is far too open to interpretation.


Perhaps if a brand has the budget to inundate us with enough messages that it successfully interprets for us what the company means to express with that one word, maybe then one word can become a tagline over a period of  time. But the important formula is it should reflect the company's personality in it.
