MTNL VRS and Revival.

Question- Telecom commission proposed VRS for a Navratna company to revive it. name the company ?

The Telecom Commission, highest decision making body of the DOT (Department of Telecom)  proposes VRS for MTNL employees above 50 years of age. This proposal needs the approval from the cabinet. MTNL & BSNL both having a high manpower due to legacy issue. Even these two company have drivers, canteen person in its payroll. While globally most of the telcos outsource most of their work to third party vendor, MTNL runs its own call centre. This in turn results in higher employee cost. This in results have resulted in higher losses for MTNL.In Delhi & Mumbai MTNL has about 40000 employees. on the other hand the likes of Airtel have 15000 employees across India for managing 22 circle operation. Most of the work is outsourced in Airtel.


The high cost on employee is a reason MTNL is not able to invest on technology  and improve its services. The VRS (Voluntary Retirement Scheme) will help MTNL in reducing its employee numbers and increase investment in technology which will put it in revival path. In last quarter MTNL has increased its revenue by 25 crore and reduces expenditure also. Hopefully this VRS scheme will help in MTNL to achieve its past glory.

There has been two TVC in this segment to popularize the product. 

The first TVC having a Muslim old man narrating his story How he has seen 3 brothers and two sisters....How he has seen so many wars and riots, how brothers separated etc etc.  and Now he is going to  to see London


Similarly the second TVC features an old Hindu lady from a village who narrates her story how she has been seen her life changed from a girl to a wife through arrange marriage, how she has seen various life changing agents. and now she is going to see Paris.


I personally felt the ads to be very powerful and targeted at the senior citizens with a strong message. That they have already seen the routine life now its time to see the rest.

+1 to the tea for creating the brilliant ads.

LYF is a 4G smartphone brand from Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio. This is its first commercial TVC debuting during IPL

LYF Smartphone + has aired its first TVC, featuring the Royal Pune Superchargers team and bollywood Diva Kangana, This TVC have MS Dhoni, Kangna Ranaut, Ashwin ad Ajinkya Rahane. This TVC also have Virat Kohli the in-form batsman.

Kangana has appeared in the ad in her Queen film avataar how the teammember of RPS get a better visual experience in their  LYF Smartphone + is the theme of the ad. The visuals are so life-like and real that they can feel that Kangana aka Rani aka Queen is dancing infront of them. Kangana has  also seen the ad in er queen atire (in that typical kurti and jeans)

NPCI new logo with new brand image.

National Payment Corporation changed it logo towards the end of 2015. Te vision was to have a brand image which is keeping pace with time, technology. At the same time keeping the Indian root.
After successfully launching the domestic payment system the brand makeover is a good step in this direction.

NPCI logos signify the speed at which the organization is achieving new milestones which adds to setting higher benchmarks to match global standards. The shades Blue, Saffron and Green represent the colours of the Indian flag that pay homage to the organization’s deep roots.

Blue is a primary corporate colour, associated with depth and stability. It indicates trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence and faith. Saffron radiates warmth and happiness by combining the physical energy and stimulation of red with the cheerfulness of yellow. Green implies balance, harmony and growth. 

NPCI is a company that believes in transparency and clear work ethics. The open P and the liberal spaces around N and C bear testimony to this fact.

The font is stylishly slender, thus expressing flexibility and nimbleness. The letters are in italics giving it the feeling of speed and representing an organization that is swiftly embracing futuristic technologies. Here the main advantage is the ad is not visible for 30 seconds like a TV ad. it has high interaction time. on an average commuters spend more than 45 minutes in that position. so it gives your brand a high interaction time. Imagica latest campaign "Badi Interesting Jagah hai"

Imagica the biggest theme park in India has started its new campaign in the theme "Badi Interesting Jagah hai" The advertisement has Namit Das (Sumit sambhal lega fame) and his friend in an animated discussion, How the lives of others are better than human, for example Birds, they have the freedom to do whatever they want, they can fly anytime they want etc. And How Namit wants to become a bird in his next birth.

Come the next scene where there are different rides and activities at Imagica were being shown where people and children enjoying the ride to the fullest and in the closing scene two crows were speaking in an animated voice how they are bored of their mundane life and wants to become human after seeing the excitement at Imagica.




The advertisement has been made really well and Sumit has done an wonderful job. Personally speaking the ad made me to visit Imagica sooner than I thought. Truly the ad made me to believe Imagica  "Badi Interesting Jagah hai".

Today I heard an ad in FM channel while travelling. The ad was of Gon/Gone/Gun for fart odour neutralizer. The company call it Gas Odor Neutralizer (GON)



I just got curious and searched more about the product. and got surprised to see the advertisement of GON. Its a well made TVC .The ad have been shown from the perspective of the girl in an arranged marriage couple. How her hubby's fart impact her life, like she can ignore the sound but could not ignore the bad odour. How GON helped her husband in this problem is the story line of the advertisement..


The company puts GON as A Gas Odor Neutralizer with activated Physico-chemical natural adsorption technology which is comfortable, discreet, antimicrobial and adsorbs embarrassing Odors.

When I first saw the ad it was really a little embarrassing. My first thought was is it some condom ad ?First the guy and the uncle said unka khada hai for last 2-3 months. To my surprise when the girl said mera bhi khada hai, it was like WTF ? and then the guy look below and said the same Mera to 12 mahine se khada hai.
But the revelation came when the guys said his bike has been unsold for last 12 months and the voiceover described the whole thing and how Doseat.com can help in selling their bikes and the Doseat's advantages like  It helps one to buy the favourite bike & get great deals along with it and how It helps one to sell the not-so-favourite bike & get a great price for it.

I find the double meaning ad a little vulgar. What's your opinion if you feel its fine you can give your opinion in the comment section below, In the official video while some appreciated the quirkness in the ad and commented cool written script by the copywriter... Well done on the Pun! While others commented against the ad 
WTF?? Now you'll place vulgar adds #Youtube??? Thank God I was not with family when this happened. I'd be so embarrassed!!

In the ad when there is annual performance review is going on the boss were told about Rajat's recommendation Kiran, how they work till late how they work outside office in cafe during dinner etc. And all of them started thinking about Kiran and Rajat's relationship. They were expecting Kiran to be a beauitful girl who is using her beauty to rise the corporate ladder. But when Kiran comes in eveyrone gets surprised. Kiran was not a girl rather a young man.





This ad is beautiful and very smartly showed us gender bias at work. It may be subtle but it's still there. Well done Titan.
