Is Telegram service Closed ? Really !!!

The 163-year old telegram service in the country - the harbinger of good and bad news for generations of Indians has been closed by BSNL.

the Telegram service was started in 1850 on an experimental basis between Kolkata and Diamond Harbour. It was opened for use by the British East India Company. In 1854, the service was made available to the public.

BSNL had decided to discontinue telegrams following a huge difference in revenue. The service generated about Rs. 75 Lakh annually, compared with the cost of over Rs. 100 crore required to run this service.

But One can still see the details about Telegram in its offices.

In its Dadar (Prabhadevi) office there is a huge board of various Telegram messages. see the image.

Indian mobile brand INTEX has  launched  Aqua I-5 in India. 
This phone is powered by the star power in the form of Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar, 

The tagline/punchline of INTEX Aqua I-5 has been very aggressive-  "This or Nothing"

The smartphone comes in white and black colour variants with a free cover at  Rs 11,690.

The advertisement is adventurous, in which Farhan Akhtar went for arope sliding and in a rope joint his Smartphone INTEX Aqua I-5 fells from his hand. In the next VO he cuts his support string and jumps.

Everybody has a surprised horrified look.

Hole-In-The-Wall

What is Hole-In-The-Wall ?

Ans- It is an experiment/initiative by Dr. Sugata Mitra for unsupervised learning and computers. 
On 26th January 1999, Dr. Mitra's team carved a "hole in the wall" that separated the NIIT premises from the adjoining slum in Kalkaji, New Delhi. Through this hole, a freely accessible computer was put up for use. This computer proved to be an instant hit among the slum dwellers, especially the children. With no prior experience, the children learnt to use the computer on their own. 
And this experiment was repeated in other parts of India and it became a success.

BLUESTAR- Cools the boss in office; cools the boss at home


Blue Star AC building on its proposition of ‘office-like cooling at home’. launched another stunning campaign. 


The new ad  is based on two people - one is the old boss at office, and the other is the wife at home. The wifes role has been played Malaika Shenoy of peepli live. Both of them are shown to be angry through their movements and expressions. Jazz music in the background indicates their fury. When the Blue Star AC is switched on, the body language and expression changes and so does the music. 


And the ad ends with ‘Cools the boss in office; cools the boss at home’.

The execution of this ad is just perfect. Be it expression by the artist both the Boss and the wife. Music is just perfect.Loved this ad.

Recently Andhra bank changed its tagline.
The new tagline is Where India Banks.

Previously Andhra bank was using the tagline "for all your needs"

This tagline is very similar to State Bank of India's Banker to every Indian. They have to spend a quite bit to make this tagline standout in this race.


The logo of Andhra Bank is a beautiful one where the A of Andhra and B of bank has been written in smaller case in a symmetric manner in a different color Red and Blue.



The slogan / tagline/punchline of Andhra bank is very much aggressive in the competitive banking scenario.

Center-Fruit Mingle has recently started a TV campaign for its newly launched liquid-filled gum,with dual flavour. It uses humour in a cricket match to showcase the combined flavour in the gum.

In the cricket match,  the batsman hits the ball into the air. Much to his and the commentator’s surprise, the non-striker go for the catch and catches it. The batsman looks to in desperation and surprise to the umpire for help, but is again surprised to see the umpire  celebrating with the non-striker. The commentator says that in his entire commentry career, he has not seen such a sight. Soon, the entire fielding team joins them for celebration as the batsman looks on dumbstruck. He is declared ‘out.’ 

The commentator exclaims ‘Ye do no mile huen hain Jaise pineapple and green-apple flavours miley huen hain Center Fruit Mingle mein. The Mila-Jula Gum’.
