MTNL Press meet for FTTH service launch in LODHA

MTNL provides FTTH(Fibre to the Home) services at various locations in Mumbai

Over recent years, the demand of Internet access speeds have increased greatly to keep pace with the requirement of new services and bandwidth-hungry applications, such as streaming video, video conferencing, on line interactive services etc
MTNL‘s endeavors are now focused at providing high speed internet on optical fibre technology at most affordable cost to its customers. Almost 4300 customers are enjoying MTNL FTTH services at various locations in Mumbai.

CMD MTNL also said, MTNL has been instrumental in providing the high quality and reliable services to its customers and also keeping the prices at affordable levels as per requirement of the high end users and  the  common man. He remarked that today internet has become basic necessity of common citizen.  This initiative of MTNL will bridge the digital divide for the citizens of Mumbai and it is a step forward to fulfill the vision of “Digital India”.
 Fibre to the Home (FTTH) is a optical fibre based technology that surpasses the performance of all earlier technologies in terms of speed and bandwidth delivery of internet (IP ) to the customer. The fibre connectivity having unlimited bandwidth and state of the art technology provides fixed access platform to deliver the high speed broadband from 10Mbps to 100 Mbps with a backbone network on MPLS. ( Multi-protocol label switching ) which provides flexibility.

Optical Fibre offers a number of advantages over conventional copper cable. Fibre is thin, stable, rigid and more durable than cooper wire. It is also free from all RF/electrical interference and always ON. Optical Fibre cables has a distinctive advantage of not being prone to Thefts, as it is the most common practice in conventional copper cables.

MTNL has an ambitious plans to extend optical fibre to over 5000 buildings/complex progressively, in a collaborative manner in Mumbai. MTNL is already providing security cameras on a large scale in Mumbai. Several other projects having connectivity on fibre is also forthcoming.

There are a bouquet of FTTH plans available to cater the needs of customers having high speed and  unlimited download, fair usage  plans with top-up facility, Data plans etc. The customers have the option to choose To start with,FTTH Tariff Plan having 10 mbps access speed and up to 25 GB data usage are available at just Rs.800/- per month.  The customers can avail high speed Broadband upto 100 Mbps & Digital Voice Services on the same FTTH connection. Free charge the leading mobile  payment portal have started its campaign Lo Do Khatam Karo. after the two previous ads, one where the guys settle his all dues in his friend's marriage ceremony and other ad where the guys ask for his money to his friend in front of the friends girlfriend.

The latest ad is superb and most of the guys have one such friend who always makes excuses not to pay but mostly do the show-off. The advertisement is quite apt for that friend. In this ad three friends who have planned for a road trip or outing stops at a fueling station to fill their car. One of the friend talks with his girlfriend says he dont have the Rs. 500 cash, even his ATM is blocked. While showing off to his girlfriend he says he is taking his friends for a outing and ask the friend to brink for some chips.


Then the friends do the trick and in the freecharge app asks his friend to split the bill and drove away without taking him. Finally the guy pays the bill through freecharge and all of them rode for their outing.

Vodafone : be a Superbro ad review.

To be honest I see the ad my first reaction was Really ? Brother ? so in curiosity i checked the Youtube video and found that I am not alonw, most of the users commented for the same, some of them are

I thought father. Brother sooo Gap😬😬

haaah...brothers? 😈😈😈😈

i didn't understand the logic..

At First I thought that was his dad, Anyways cute video.

But one user gave a good suggestion which might make the ad more relevant from the age point of view "Be a chachu , would hv been better caption."

At the same time most find the baby too cute so comments like so cutee , aww are quite natural.

One of the user pointed out concern "Radiation is harmful for babies. ...keep them away from gadgets"

Now leave the age gap to the family planning of their parents and come to the ad. Vodafone unlike their iconic zoozoos this time failed at creating something remembering. The 4G lunch and the campaign is so poor. the child and the puppy ad is really pathetic. this ad on the theme of SuperNet is not upto the mark. Just one question to the agency how many people use 3g/4G at home in their smartphone. Dont they have a wi-fi which is much cheaper and quite reliable speed. The ad is as dumb as the pricing of 3G or 4G packs in India.

for me the advertisement is really poor with no visual logic or the theme logic. This ad is perhaps made by some person who does not have a wi-fi connection at home.

Ola Micro Stories: How costly is it to hang out with your buddies?

Ola Micro Only at Rs. 6 Per kilometre is the theme of the ad. 
The advertisement is presented in a nice comic way. The ad is little different in a way that most of the other ads in this category showing girls spending the time in shopping or eating the spicy food. But in this Ola micro ad three guys passing through a eat street  and how one of them is inclined to spicy food and eating almost everything. The friends voice in a sense of frustration says Mera Dost chalta hai 145 rupees per kilometres se And Ola micro chalti hai sirf rs. 6 per kilometre and the VO concludes the ad and appeals to now open your phone and book Ola micro at just Rs. 6 per kilometre. 

The advertisment convince the viewer to choose ola Micro insteam of walking with your foodie of shopaholic friends. its smarter to choose Ola Micro.


the background music is quite relevant for the fun part of the advertisement and macha super macha is quite funny.

The ad's story board is Ranveer seems a little tired after a days hectic shoot and suddenly a fan (the mystery girl) pops out to take a selfie. This is a craze to take selfie with celebrities now. But the Mystery girls phone taking time to open and take a selfie. Ranveer asks the girl Are You Done ? The girl answers, Wait No, Phone is opening.... In that time, Ranvern takes a selfie and uploads in social Media. Now as usual the press reaches the mystery girl before the girl could react.

In this ad Vivo is demonstrating the superfast experience in its smartphone with latest feature like high speed processor, camera quality etc.


The advertisement is good one demonstrating the feature of the phone in a brilliant way.

MTNL VRS and Revival.

Question- Telecom commission proposed VRS for a Navratna company to revive it. name the company ?

The Telecom Commission, highest decision making body of the DOT (Department of Telecom)  proposes VRS for MTNL employees above 50 years of age. This proposal needs the approval from the cabinet. MTNL & BSNL both having a high manpower due to legacy issue. Even these two company have drivers, canteen person in its payroll. While globally most of the telcos outsource most of their work to third party vendor, MTNL runs its own call centre. This in turn results in higher employee cost. This in results have resulted in higher losses for MTNL.In Delhi & Mumbai MTNL has about 40000 employees. on the other hand the likes of Airtel have 15000 employees across India for managing 22 circle operation. Most of the work is outsourced in Airtel.


The high cost on employee is a reason MTNL is not able to invest on technology  and improve its services. The VRS (Voluntary Retirement Scheme) will help MTNL in reducing its employee numbers and increase investment in technology which will put it in revival path. In last quarter MTNL has increased its revenue by 25 crore and reduces expenditure also. Hopefully this VRS scheme will help in MTNL to achieve its past glory.

There has been two TVC in this segment to popularize the product. 

The first TVC having a Muslim old man narrating his story How he has seen 3 brothers and two sisters....How he has seen so many wars and riots, how brothers separated etc etc.  and Now he is going to  to see London


Similarly the second TVC features an old Hindu lady from a village who narrates her story how she has been seen her life changed from a girl to a wife through arrange marriage, how she has seen various life changing agents. and now she is going to see Paris.


I personally felt the ads to be very powerful and targeted at the senior citizens with a strong message. That they have already seen the routine life now its time to see the rest.

LYF is a 4G smartphone brand from Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio. This is its first commercial TVC debuting during IPL

LYF Smartphone + has aired its first TVC, featuring the Royal Pune Superchargers team and bollywood Diva Kangana, This TVC have MS Dhoni, Kangna Ranaut, Ashwin ad Ajinkya Rahane. This TVC also have Virat Kohli the in-form batsman.

Kangana has appeared in the ad in her Queen film avataar how the teammember of RPS get a better visual experience in their  LYF Smartphone + is the theme of the ad. The visuals are so life-like and real that they can feel that Kangana aka Rani aka Queen is dancing infront of them. Kangana has  also seen the ad in er queen atire (in that typical kurti and jeans)

NPCI new logo with new brand image.

National Payment Corporation changed it logo towards the end of 2015. Te vision was to have a brand image which is keeping pace with time, technology. At the same time keeping the Indian root.
After successfully launching the domestic payment system the brand makeover is a good step in this direction.

NPCI logos signify the speed at which the organization is achieving new milestones which adds to setting higher benchmarks to match global standards. The shades Blue, Saffron and Green represent the colours of the Indian flag that pay homage to the organization’s deep roots.

Blue is a primary corporate colour, associated with depth and stability. It indicates trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence and faith. Saffron radiates warmth and happiness by combining the physical energy and stimulation of red with the cheerfulness of yellow. Green implies balance, harmony and growth.

Here the main advantage is the ad is not visible for 30 seconds like a TV ad. it has high interaction time. on an average commuters spend more than 45 minutes in that position. so it gives your brand a high interaction time.
